Reset parking brake
I have a 2005 s type auitomatic. This morning when I set off I got 2 alternate messages that say 'parking brake cannot be applied and parking brake on'. Also when driving there is a loud beep which stops when I brake. I got my manual out and followed the reset instructions which said to press the footbrake and relese the handbreak but this hasnt worked. Ive never had this happen before can anyone advise of what to do and is it safe to drive. HELP

Usually it's a sign of the Battery going bad. Think hard about replacing it. Lots of threads about this and that old-fashioned battery tests are essentially useless (because what matters is not the amps but the quality and quantity of volts).
I'm guessing you're here (UK). We've had -5 to -10C recently.
