Well my first knee kick reaction would be why is it doing this. My second response is to find the cause and repair it. Restricted Performance is telling you that you have a problem. You need to find out why and a good starting point is to read the OBD codes. Several places will do it free like AutoZone however the place next to the Harley Davidson on Coastal Hwy. will charge you $50.00 to read it. Good mechanic just eager to make a buck.

You have a definite fault or faults and need to fix it/them. RP is often to protect your engine from disastrous damage.
For $30 you can buy your own elm327 OBD tool and read far more than just the codes. "piston malfunctions" sounds like what an idiot who knows just enough to be dangerous tells you. Either pay a competent tech or have a DIY go.
