while agressively accelarating my 03 s type 3.0 about 35-45 mph, engine began hesitating and had severe loss of power. pulled over, check engine light went on and shortly after the restricted performance display. limped it home turned it off and prayed all night it would go away!!! next day the restricted warning went away but the check engine light is still on. took it to my mechanic and 4 different diagnostic readers later can not retreive any info from computer. readers cannot communicate with the car.
if anyone can pls provide some info on what i can do retreive the info from the car and/or what the initial problem may be?
thank you

if its a V6 may have pcv tubing failed.. causing engine to run lean.. coils are about $70-90 may have a DLC connector problem.. meaning the connector it self may not.. have the correct.. battery voltage.. or the Can wires.. or something not working with the connector.. but until you try it with a jaguar IDS then could still be the readers..
