[QUOTE=Michael Star;752513]Spacers and rubbage my friend. I've got a date with a bodyman that will extend the rear arches out a bit
Oh wow kinda like a wide body but with bondo I guess. Now I see the space it comes out. Still looks really nice.
how would they do it? Reconstruct sheet metal on the rear body? Bondo? fiberglass?

Wasnt ignoring your post BTW. some nice concave rims I think will look sick my opinion but its all about what taste you have. I would love to put some 20" Vossens CV3 (precision series if they already came out with it).
NO 22" please on the STR, itll look nice but not for going fast, 20" is pushing it but clean. I had 20" (cheap wheels) on my 01' Jag and got 22" afterwards but it was more of a show car amd the ride was not good.
Forged rims!!!

The car pictured above has the gorgeous Coventry wheels but they do not come staggered for our cars. I believe the rears on the car above were for the XK series. If you want wheels and you want them staggered and you want them to fit without flaring your fenders, your only choice is Forgestar wheels. They are custom made to order and are rotary forged and cost as much as many cast wheels so you do not have to go the forged aluminum route that costs an arm and leg. There are now four members (including myself) with Forgestars on this forum, and we all ordered from modbargains.com so go there they will give you the proper offsets and dimensioins for a flush, stanced look.
The Forgerstar models available for our cars are the CF5 (what I and two other members have) and the F14 (what one of our members has). Trust me, I have exhausted all options before I found Forgestar. I was about to spring some serious money for CCW forged aluminum before I found Forgestar rotary forged wheels...
Below if a pic of my car w/ 19" staggered Forgestar CF5 from the modbargains website...
P.S. - original poster, I see you are from Florida. If you are around Palm Beach County and would like to see my wheels in person just send me a private message.

I have also been in the same situation as mike03jAGSTR. Black with black interior and looking for a darker set of wheels to match.
Under Pressure - For the Forgestar CF5, did you do wider wheels in the rear (something similar to stock)? What size wheels did you end up going with? Also, I was checking online and didn't find any prices; if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for just the rims?
I've also been looking around on Vossen. I really like the CV3 style. Does anyone have pictures of those on their car?
Thanks in advance!

forgestar builds them to order, under_pressure's CF5's are 19x8.5F and 19x10R, i run the same setup on my STR,
the forgestar 19" wheel and tire package will set you back about $2,500+,
as for the vossen's, haven't seen any to date on a jag, dont think they build to 5x108 either...

If you do go with Forgestars, be prepared to wait. I ordered a set on March 8th and have yet to see them.

the stock STR wheels are 18x9.5R, so the forgestar 19x10 clears fine in the back.
You have to be more concerned about finding wheels with the right offset; the STR runs very high positive offset in the rear, which most mass-produced, and even some custom-wheel makers, cannot build to such offsets. Even if they come close, brake clearance with the brembos is another issue to look out for,
In short, the forgestars can be built to the perfect offsets to ensure a flush stance, and still have adequate brake clearance to not require spacers,
Custom wheels are built to order, and there can be delays and long waits between the time of order and delivery. I ordered mine in January of this year, and got them in March/April. I beat the rush, so as a heads up, order in the winter in order to get them by the spring,

I too have black on black, but plan on powder coating or painting my wheels Nissan GTR gunmetal when it's time for new tires (lexus LFA or gt-500 gunmetsl would eork too). I would estimate it to be $200 to $250 to get it done professionaly and you do t have to worry about fitment issues. Wish I had some examples to share ....
