Dear vauglarr,
Usually using the computer you can reset the faults and recalibrate the system. I doubt you need the actuator. Hard reboot may work. Not just disconnecting battery but procedure is:
Key out, disconnect both sides of battery, with disconnected touch terminals together(not on battery only when both disconnected). Reconnect pos then neg. cycle key, apply handbrake to calibrate. If not repeat upto 3 times. If not you will need the jaguar computer to reset. ( touching terminals reboots systems, discharges capacitors in epb module and all modules that may be holding memory)

This is the step that I did that actually work for my car........it is fixed and did it myself.... Omage to the Jaguar Gods today

Sorry for the late response. I got EBC Red stuff low brake dust pads. They work very well and are very quiet as well. Brake dust is minimal, takes at least 2 weeks for the dust to build up enough to be noticeable. Although I wash my wheels weekly so i actually never really see any dust build up. They are a bit pricey, there are definitely cheaper stuff out there but in my opinion they give a great bang for your buck.
