s-type 12 hour clock issue
Twice a year (Fall & Spring) for the last 11 years I've set the clock w/o a problem. Since 3/26/16 the start of daylight savings, I've been unable to bypass the 24 hour clock and set the 12 hour clock on my 2002 s-type Jag. No trouble setting hour + minutes, but there no longer is "12 hour clock" on the menu. Any suggestions?????
Thanks in advance.

S-type clock issue
2002 S-type Jag did not have touch screen.
Clock is operated manually by tapping "menu" until you come to "adjust clock." Hour flashes until hour set, then minutes flash until minutes are set. Next one is supposed to go back to "menu" to tap either 24 hour clock or 12 hour clock. The 12-hour no longer appears.

just found this in a search not sure if this will help but its free to try !
the guy that wrote this said he wasn't shore if it was for his x or s type !
SETTING THE CLOCK......press and hold Menu button for 2 seconds....display shows 'ADJUST CLOCK'
CHANGING HOURS AND MINUTES....display should be showing 'ADJUST CLOCK' with hours flashing. Press Seek/tuning control repeatedly to change hour setting.
Press the Menu button briefly. The display shows minutes flashing. Press the Seek/tuning control repeatedly to change the minute setting.
CHANGING THE TIME MODE...... With the display showing 'ADJUST CLOCK' press the Menu button repeatedly until the display shows the current time mode. Press the Seek/tuning control to select 12 hour or 24 hour mode.
SEEKING RDS TIME UPDATE.....With the display showing 'ADJUST CLOCK' press the Menu button repeatedly until the display shows 'RDS TIME ON' (OR OFF). Press the Seek/tuning control to select....NOTE: RDS IS TURNED OFF AUTOMATICALLY IF CLOCK IS MANUALLY ADJUSTED
To Exit Menu press any button or wait 4 seconds.

Maybe try a hard reset and see if that helps.
Disconnect the negative terminal and hold the negative and positive together for a couple of minutes. This allows all capacitors to discharge and reset all systems.
You'll have some other things to reset afterwards, radio presets, one touch windows etc.

I wouldn't know where to fond or how to disconnect the negative terminal, tweak it to the positive terminal. No problem to reset one radio station, and I don't know what one touch windows are. Again, maybe it's time to sell the 2002 Jaguar with 70K original miles. I will entertain all offers.
Thanks.

If the potential fix suggested above is just too much work, please do the car a favour and sell it. Maybe it will find a nice home.

Speaking of "snotty" comments. You win Mikey!
My Jag is probably better maintained than most of the ones here. I ask questions on the forum, so that I know which repair place to take the vehicle. Apparently no one on this forum has had a problem with setting the 12-hour clock, so an "I don't know" would have been preferable.
I'm sure I will have no trouble selling the 14 year old, low mileage Jag with clean title.
