What is that they say about "Great minds think alike..." or something like that?
I asked them just that when I replied. I even offered my car as a guinea pig if someone from them wanted to spend a vacation here in Portugal...but the reply was...

We can’t afford to fly an engineer to Portugal for a single vehicle controller, though I bet they’d love to make the trip. J We have to actually connect to the vehicle with our diagnostic laptop to verify, it is not a case of letting you try it out, though that would make things a bit easier if it could be done that way.

But I would really like to have had the chance...Ah well. A good laugh anyway.

I don`t know if anyone has already posted this, but anyway...I found a free piece of software that lists DTC codes, bothe generic OBD and manufacturer specific. It has Jaguar, so I tried a few codes I knew from TOPIX docs and all were reported correctly. I haven`t messed with it much, but it may be of use to someone, so here goes:
http://www.auteltech.com/dtc.htm
It is called DTC Library, and is, as far as I can see, a free download.
I will try to find Diesel-specific codes in it.
