HOPEFULLY SOMEONE CAN POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION
I AM ABOUT TO START PUTTING ENGINE BACK TOGETHER
BUT HAVE BECOME STUCK WITH THE PISTON RINGS
MOST ENGINES I HAVE REBUILT IN THE PAST THE RINGS HAD A FOT OR T ON THEM
BUT THE ONES I GOT FROM SNG BARRATT HAVE A R
AND THE NUMBER 2 RING IS kind of tapped so when you look at it it looks skinner on one side to the other but it also has a r on it
i have had a look in the work shop manual but couldn't find anything out
I could be going blind

The side with the step is the upper side. The step is to accommodate wear ridges at the top of the bore.
