Default S type full interior swap advice

So my 2000 stype developed a knock about a year ago and has been collecting dust at 95k. I however recently ran into a 2002 with a bad trans at 95k that i picked up for 700 bucks.

I'm swapping the engine soon and his interior is nicer than mine as well!

How much effort/time am i looking at in swapping the dash, console, seats, and pillars/carpet? Does anyone have any experience or advice in doing so?

Hi Siebert

As for the seats and carpet, and console are pretty straight forward. The Dash assembly is another story. To do all of it you should be able to complete the swap in around 2 days, maybe into the 3rd. Below is for taking dash out.

The "guide" is from the workshop manual (available to download or if you want the latest then join Jaguar's TOPIx).

You must be a glutton for frustration. Changing the speedo and turn signal stalk on mine weren't as bad as I had feared but a full set of the metallic trim panels to swap out on mine and after trying the first rear door panel I've stopped. The retaining clips are a SOB to get off. Make sure you get extras of all the retaining clips before starting because you're probably going to break some. The parts on these cars are not of the highest quality in some areas.
