s type headlights
Sorry this is so long, bear with me!
Recently I took my '03 s type to the dealer to have the radiator overflow tank replaced as it was cracked. That night when I drove my car, my headlights were very strange and not seeming to be alligned properly. Wehn I got out I noticed that my drivers headlight was out.
Being it was a sturdy and the dealer was closed, I took my car to Sears to have the bulb changed. I told them I always had the dealer take care of everything, so I wanted to watch them do this. When they took off the protective shield above the lights the tech and I both noticed that both sides of the reflective cover where the bulbs are seated were just floating around, and were broken where the screw attaches to them. This was not like this nor did I have an issue with my lights prior to my overflow tank replaced, which sits right behind the lights.
Now the dealer is saying "There is no way they could have broken these" I take meticulous care of this car and it was not like this prior to the repair. Is there a jag tech out there who can tell me if this is something they have seen? I cant see that they didn't do it, it just did not break on it's own.
Thanks
