Thanks guys & Stuart G- much appreciated (as usual). I had a new coolant tank put in at the unbelievable cost of $700.00 AUD- I questioned this as I researched the net and could have gotten the part for $200.00AUD and I imagine labour would be relatively uncomplicated being at the top of the engine and easy to access...so they dropped the price to $500.oo, still outrageous for a piece of plastic, even if it is under pressure....so in answer to all that- expansion tank works like a dream.

I am glad you haggled the price. The expansion tanks pay I think 1.2 hours customer pay. I don't know why your extended warranty would not cover the expansion tank.

At any rate, glad your heater is working fine.

I have a 2005 S-Type 4.0 my AC is not cooling I get just HOT air coming out the vents, everything was working fine all summer on the heat and AC


I live I Oklahoma we had a few days of very cold weather and then the temp went up into the 80s I turn on the AC the compressor kicked in but all I got was hot air I turn the temp down to 61 still heat, also tried the duel control no change any help please

Could be the DCCV stuck open (the default). Lots of threads about them & fix.
