S-Type not cooling at idle
#21
2003 S-Type with no AC
I had the same problem being described: At idle, the AC was gone. At highway speeds, it returned.
As time passed though, it got worse to where it stopped producing cool air even at highway speeds or just for a few minutes at a time. Eventually I ended up with no AC.
I would like to get a whole kit, if that's possible. I have not found one yet.
If anyone knows where I can get like repair kits, condenser, compressor, hoses, etc. please let me know.

With 169K miles on your car I think the A/C compressor has done its duty. I found Chinese made brand new compressors on EBay for very good prices. I got a compressor, filter/dryer and the expansion valve with no core charge for under $250. Including shipping.
It's been 6 months and several thousand miles and everything is working good.
