@Rick I just checked out Britax stuff and will probably invest when he needs upgraded, are they built to better fit in the Jag? We're planning to put him center of the back seat-- Fire department will install tomorrow.

Oh, BTW, Rick knows his stuff when it comes to baby seats... He "approved" my selection for little Olivia. And Jon is right.. Double check any stroller you get to make sure it fits in the trunk! Our "awsome" stoller needed to be taken apart a bit to fit! But that is not an issue anymore now that I drive a tank!

Rick, I can't believe how fast time is going by... She's going to be 1 already?? Olivia is knocking on the big 2!

Probably not, generally only unique or unusual cars get so much lip service in the news. Think of car accidents you see in the news, if you are some schumck in a Chrysler that gets creamed on the freeway, rarely will they say "the Chrysler rolled several times before crashing through the median" whereas some other guy leaves the road at 132 miles an hour and bursts into flames in his Porsche 911, you will be informed at every change of events--wtf happened to this car.

Some of you have inquired about Joyces and my recent purchase. Well here it is:
2003 Honda Rancher 4x4 ATV, it ran when we purchased it a couple of weeks ago, needed top end work (almost finished). The PO had fallen on hard times and needed cash fast. Initially we purchased it to fix and sell at a great profit, but Joyce has put sometime on it and thinks "we" should keep it around awhile !





As I had mentioned the Honda forum I joined is ALOT like this site and very enjoyable.

today would be a great day to get real muddy, but I am helping a buddy work on his diesel for most of the weekend. 2001 Duramax replacing fuel injectors.....Wow they pack alot of P-double-o-P ontop that motor!

 

Nice quad Rick! - Keep it, that thing will serve you well around the homestead for a long time once you get it sorted. I have an old 4x4 Yamaha that I beat to death regularly and it just won't actually die.

Beware though - they can suck you in and the next thing you know you'll be upgrading this or that all the time!

I just found out muscles I don't use at my age 65, this September.
The car was running fine and still is with a little over 50,000 miles but I wanted to see how the gaskets are holding. They are leaking like I expected but the rubber boot on the coil seems to keep the oil back for now.
I'm lucky I just picked up some air rachets and I made good use of them for the stuff I could reach.
If you change this stuff have tools for tight places.
By the way the iridium plugs I took out still looked new! The coils looked good and were holding the oil back so the engine had to burn off the oil that fell into the cylinders. I ran it around 1500 rpms to burn of the oil and took it for a ride until it stopped smoking . Got back to my house an it was running good with no codes. I disconnected the negative wire on the battery before I stared and it did the radio and window thing but it's all working.
Can't believe I attempted this!!!

Such a shame it didn't take off, but then, the X type off topic had loads and loads of hits, but also died off in recent months, hence I decided to unstick them.

The Off Topic section is up n running and always busy with loads going on now so thats all good.

Ideally we like to try and keep the sections as free of stickies as possible and only when necessary.

 

how many miles are on these gems?
Clues:
The engine operated flawlessly before the change, they were pulled purely out of curiosity.
They are OEM platinum type.
2006 V8 engine, non-Jaguar

Guesses?

 

Jaguar used NGK's in the "S".

 

my guess is 90k miles on those plugs

 

If those are (as I reckon they should be) iridiums they should not be like that AFAIK because they'd be changed in the service schedule.

When you get proper new ones, maybe put up pictures in this thread so future owners can see the difference!
