If you do, might want to have a look at this, if you're online in the next 4 hours.

HI George
thanks for the link on ebay, i did look at that wheel and i did talk to the seller but he is not really easy do deal with. (with shipping etc)
so i pass on him.
Currently i trying to purchase the 19"Barcelona sets. I hope i wend smooth.
if not probably will look for the XFR wheel (Auriga 19") but still worry about the fitment.
thanks all for the help

As far as wheel fitments. All the XF wheels are direct fitments for the S-Type, BUT the tire sizes are wrong for the S-Type and will rub. Both in the front at hard lock, and on the edge of the fender in the rear.
The S-Type R needs at least an 18" wheel.
19" tires are $$$$ compared to 18" Tires or even 20" tires for some reason.
I might have a line on an interesting set of wheels. Gimme a day.
Take care,
George

Btw. Just another thought.
If you're going to go with 18" wheels.
All the 2004+ XJ wheels are direct bolt ons too. Once again, don't buy a set with tires, the sizes are completely wrong.
The only caveat is they don't come in staggered sizes. The only sets of wheels that DO are the wheels on the R cars.
Personally I don't think the extra 20-30mm of tread width in the rear matters all that much on the street when you are driving the car like a reasonable human being. You can gain the "look" with rear wheel spacers if you have to have it.
The advantage to not running staggered wheels is the ability to rotate tires, and save on tire wear.
Take care,
George
