Charlie... did you really buy that car with all the problems?

tell me you paid a LOT less than the $10,500 I offered you mine for.....

did you figure-out where all the brake fluid went?

Any shop that deals with roots blowers should be able to service it.

McJaguar, Didn't you just buy your STR a few months ago?
Why are you selling it already?

I really recommend you DON'T use a local for this. It's not rocket science but you do want a shop that does nothing but super charger work. There are several big outfits that have a good reputation.
Don't use this guy. Bad customer service to one of our own STR guys and then ran his mouth like it was not his fault. A real ***-Hat!

From reading about all the problems and bad-mouthing that "twotees" had with Stiegemeier a couple of years ago, I wouldn't trust him with my lunch money much less one of my vehicles....

Yea, I miss ttwotees!! He had a string of bad luck too.

First the blower porting fiasco and then he burned up the motor in his STR when the wire hose retainer on the top tank was not seated fully and came apart when he was driving. Lost so much coolant so fast that he did not have time to shut it down before he destroyed the engine.

I hope he still reads the forum but he has probably moved on by now.

have you driven one of these in the snow? I have now.

And since I'm in snow-country for 8 months of the year......

And since I've already got a summer-car......

I sorta bought mine on accident....

anyone who knows me, knows I've usually got a different car in the garage every couple of weeks....

the nice things is that they are ALWAYS in better condition when I sell them than they are when I buy them. This one, for instance, has had all of the little minor chirps, squeaks, squirrels that you find in a 100k+ car repaired. (motor mounts, rubber bushings, brakes, etc etc) I've also repaired professionally the one blemish in the interior. I've added brand new tires, and then had it professionally detailed and steamed.

it's very, very nice. I'm taking it on a road-trip down to Vegas for Thanksgiving next week. looking forward to that.

I can relate. When I first moved to KY from FL I only had the Jag and some summer hi-po tires. Turned out to be the worst winter in 10 years in Bowling Green. Made for interesting driving.
