How fast are you hitting pot holes that you reach full compression on the suspension? You may want to look at the tires you are running as a starting point. I've run various cars with profiles as low as 35's without an issue. I live in the rust belt of Ohio, so I am familiar with potholes. Look for a tire with a higher load rating than the car requires. This will get you a tire that is more able to handle impacts without damage. And it will be a lot cheaper than trying to modify an already good suspension.

i have custom one off rims and low profile tires. i run my tires with 50psi not the recommended psi for the car keeps the rims from exploding in a pothole
