S-Type R What's under the covers?

When I test drove the last 2006 S-type R the salesman pulled the plastic covers off of the intercoolers. On that car they were a really rough cast blob of metal unlike those on the earlier XJR engines. Are all of the S-Type R intercoolers like this?
Also, unlike the earlier cars the stenciled on "Jaguar" doesn't appear on the valve covers.

I noticed that on the XF Supercharged, too. Jaguar probably just decided it was chea...err, more "cost effective", to just use the same inter-coolers as the Range Rover Sport. They were probably right, as the majority of new owners won't be servicing their own cars, so they'll never take the engine cover off. Also, the fins that are cast into the new ones might help to dissipate heat, or something. At least that's what Jaguar will probably tell you.
