Exclamation S-type radio head unit not working please HELP!!

Just got my car back after three weeks of being without it,while the garage ordered a sucession of parts for the suspension which needed work for the mot. During this time they have jump/boos started her as if not used for a week or more she drains the battery. Everything is fine until I tried to turn on my radio....it's dead as a dodo! I've checked the fuses in the driver side (uk) fuse box, but nothing...not even the clock is showing on the display (which is green) anyone have any ideas? - the cd player is in the glove box and will eject and accept the cd cartridge but everything else is totally dead. It was working before being jump started.

Sounds like no power. Failing that it's been killed.

Check JTIS for how to test.

PLEASE HELP! I bought a phone connector for my 1999 s-type that works by playing my music over an empty radio channel but I cannot figure out how to tune my radio to a static channel! It just skips right over any channels with a weak signal. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Note that the antenna wiring / jack are shielded, and when I tried one of those cheap FM transmitters that use the cigarette lighter, It never worked. And that lighter assembly is close to the radio head unit, and the signal was never strong enough to get past the coax shielding. Better off with a QUALITY cassette to mini plug adapter (where you can plug into an iPod/pad or any smartphone....or even an external Bluetooth adapter) which is my current workaround for technology obsolescence. It works!
