Default S-Type Steering and /or Suspension Sound

Have a 2005 S-type 3.0 with 63,500 mile on it. For about 2 months I have heard on the right side of the car a slight squeak or rubbing sound when I do over certain size road bumps (wider ones generally) or go over certain dips. Under normal city of highway driving conditions conditions there is no noise.

I have recently changed the brakes and then did an oil change in a friend's bay and can see nothing wrong with any bushing on the right side at all. The car's suspension seems fine and I suspect there is potentially something going on with the strut/shock. Does this ring any familiar bells to anyone or make any sense?

Today, I noticed for the first time that if I back out, with the intent of turning left going forward I hear a slight click/semi knock from what appears to be with the steering. I then went to a parking lot and turned the wheel all the way to the right and then starting driving and heard the same knock sound. this too appears to be slightly from the right side.

I then came back and parked and with everything off so I could hear what was going on and in parking gear, turned the steering wheel all the way to the right and then back to the left and so forth and heard a slight knock coming from the steering area when I was going either direction near what would be the center of the steering cycle. That sound is like a potential tie rod end as I have had the approximate same sound (but much louder and definitely with thudding sound that you felt in another car- non jag front wheel drive car). however i don't know that sound from the S-Type or what that means.
I have no problems with the power steering, although have had that common noise that is solved by the additive that Jag sells.

I do have several bushings in the rear that need replacing, but they appear minor with 2 of them, not seeming to be load bearing (it is the 2 that are just below the rear brakes and can be easily seen), but doubt that would cause any noise in the front.

Any ideas, thoughts or experiences are appreciated.

Thanks

Sway bar bushings are the prime suspect.

I have an extended warranty that covers this, but want not to be taken advantage or the warranty group either and like to have some working knowledge before I take it to the dealer. I will check on my All-Data account and see where it is exactly.

Thanks a heap!!!!

Default ??

I saw the video about the noises caused by the sway/stabilizer bar.

Would the sway bar bushing being worn on the right side cause the sound I hear when I am sitting still and turning the wheel from right to left ect.

As the video said,. I have the lower strut bushing problem on the rear. Again the dealer can play with that.

I am just concerned that i have no problem with the steering that will cause me to lose control of the car.

Thanks
