S-Type Wheel Hub / Bearing and Lincoln LS compatibility?

Hey all,
In the midst of trying to get the car road ready before leaving for the drive down to Florida on Friday....
... I've got a ticking going from the passenger front wheel hub.
While it doesn't seem that loud spinning by hand, my thinking is that the bearings are on the way out and it might quickly turn into a roar at highway speeds, and now I'm getting mixed feelings about trying to drive 2800 kms on it.
When looking for the wheel studs, I had a local parts guy tell me they had the complete hub for a 2003 Lincoln LS on the shelf - I know the studs are compatible, but is the whole hub and bearing assembly compatible as well?
You guys getting any noise at all from the wheel hubs when spinning them on brake and rotor changes (trying to determine if it's just my paranoia getting the better of me on the clicking noise)?
Update, for any that might be interested:
While there was some noise in the hub, the hub seemed true with absolutely no wiggle, and both sides had the exact same tick.
With the new brakes and wheel back on, I didn't notice the sound at all, and the wheel spun with plenty of momentum after I gave it a good Price is Right wheel spin.

As you describe the noise,I doubt it is the wheel bearing. Since you have just changed the brake rotors and brake pads I think that is a more likely source of the noise.
I would remove the wheel and rotate the hub by hand---you should be able to find the source of the clicking.
You could go further and remove the brake rotor and just turn the hub by hand--if the bearing is bad you will "feel roughness, looseness and /or noise" when you turn it.
PS,I have been down in Florida since 14January--weather has been "cold" but nothing like up in TO.have a good trip down!

Sorry, I should have clarified:
The rotors and brakes are off the car, and it's just the bare hub that I'm spinning.
There is a slight tick / grind type noise, but there is zero play in the hub.
I was thinking there had to be some looseness for it to be a bad bearing, hence my confusion. How much noise is 'normal'? My thinking was no noise.
... and I have been watching the extended forecast for Kissimmee with some interest lately - shaping up to be the coldest two weeks down there in the last 4 or 5 years!
