Default Sea Foam

Just a friendly reminder be cautious of the Sea Foam for your air intake. Did it's job, on my spark plugs not too happy to remove my upper intake and cleaning my plugs. Anyways I still use from time to time during some maintenance.

Pardon my french, but why on earth would you put a product intended for WWII era two stroke outboards in a modern fuel injected car engine?

Strikes me as tricky photography. Avoid that junk.

The tailpipe smoke is the product itself (50% petroleum oil, 25% naptha, 25% rubbing alcohol) burning in the engine.

The tiny amount of carbon on the pistons wouldn't be enough to cause any poor running or increased fuel consumption. If anything, it would raise compression slighty and increase engine power.

The before/after shots show insignificant change. The difference can be achieved through the old mechanics trick of sucking an equal amount of water through the engine.

Save your money.

The product does work well for it's intended purpose which was removing gummy deposits from early 2-stroke carbs. Carbs, 2 strokes and their oils have come along way so Seafom is not used for those anymore either.

Why did you remove intake manifold? I don't use Sea foam because it is expensive. I use Marvel Mistery oil.

Why? Modern engines do NOT need or benefit from any sort of additive beyond what's already in the fuel or oil.

Please.....
