Default Seafoam vs. Seafrost

I am buying another s-type, and have the choice between seafoam and seafrost. The pictures from the sellers are not under the conditions that show the difference. Is there a site on the internet that allows me to look at each color as it really appears? The cars are on different coasts, so going to look at them both is not something I want to do.

2004 XJ8 in Color MDV / 1860 "Seafrost" In some pictures and with some people thia can appear to have a bluish tint, but it is a green shade. The "Seafoam" has a definite blue caste to it and although my car is Seafrost I think the Seafoam is ALSO a very pretty color and looks good on the Jags.

I believe they did, if anyone ordered it, which quite possibly no-one did.

Im pretty sure they didn't offer this color for the R's even for order. I never seen it even in pics tried googling it nothing came up.

All the literature I have for the S Type doesn't show a restriction on color for the any particular trim. So, you could get it.

But.. like JagV8 said... it may not have been ordered by anyone..

Just for reference .... Seafoam is the older color... Seafrost replaced it in later years...

And the R was made in some unusual colors...

Here is one in Zircon

Love that Zircon R! Mine was silver and when I saw that blue it looked real good.

From a time far far away in another galaxy when car manufacturers produces real sales literature, the second run X202 large format sales brochure (JLM37/02/15/03) featured a Seafrost STR. Looks beautiful. A great colour for an STR.

Seafrost LHD car featured in several of the Jaguar marketing material and in the second release large format sales brochure. Here in black and white of course.

Seafrost does suit the beautiful lines of the STR. A great colour in its day. Much nicer that the myriad of very boring silver and grey around. Some greys I've seen looking like they've left the factory with a clear coat over a grey primer..
