So, recently I noticed my lamps aren't doing the initial sweep up and down when the car is started, I've read up a bit on the forums about the headlamps and in the process discovered what the curious folded up piece of cardboard behind the drivers side light was doing. So one screwfix later and the drivers lamp is stable, the passenger side lamp appears to be OK as I cannot budge it at all.
I've checked the fuse in the footwell and it seems OK, plus the heated seats and the automatic wipers are still working properly.
I've had my wife turn the car/lamps on and I cannot hear anything coming from the lamps that indicates a motor trying to do anything,
Where is the next place I should look?

p.s. in the process of digging around I at least discovered that the car does apparently have heated wing mirrors, just that the 5amp fuse for them was blown........

 

Without WDS/IDS/SDD you are going to have a hard time diagnosing.
I had a customer with one headlamp not 'dipping' at startup and found out he had it replaced at a body shop.

I asked if it was configured to the car and he said probably not. I used my WDS to configure both headlamps and put them though the test mode etc.

Both headlamps functioned correctly after the setup/test.

Make sure the suspension level sensors are attached and plugged in.

The system might just need a setup or there could actually be a faulty component????
