Hi, I have a 2000 S type 3.0 and got into a situation where the transmission got stuck in park, and had to use some force to disengage out of park and now the cable is out of adjustment. The transmission gear and the gate position don't quite line up. This is most noticeable when drive is selected as it may not fully engage drive in the transmission.
Where is it possible to adjust the cable? Also, how does one remove the center console, can't see any screws and don't want to break or damage anything by using excessive force.
Have looked at quite a few threads but can't seem to find the right answers.
Thanks for any assistance.
John

John in your MY I haven't read to many cable adjustments, but more than likely this little part: Metal Shifter Cam - shift.kit.stype
The OEM's are made of plastic that break very easily as they age.
