Default Side View Door Mirror

I do not have power mirrors but are the mirrors made to fold in manually? I have very little clearance when backing out of the garage and afraid that one day I will get distracted and hit the garage door frame with the driver mirror. There is definitely a seam between the mirror body and the door bracket but it won't move easily and I don't want to force it either and break it voluntarily.

I don't think they are designed to fold by hand. If you had power mirrors, maybe, but I haven't heard of any electrically folding or otherwise.

Where did you possibly find an 05 North American spec without power mirrors?!?
You must mean they don't power-fold, that is much more believable. Yes, they fold manually, both ways....but it will only buy you an inch or two at the most.
Here we are in the driving or normal position:

You may need to squirt a bit of penetrant or some such into the seam at the bottom and gently wiggle them to-and-fro to get them working. I'd begin with a stout garden-hose nozzle first, however, to get dirt/dust/grime out of there if possible.

Thanks aholbro1 for the pictures and you are right in that not much is gained by folding the mirror toward the rear but at least I now know that they can be moved even if only a little is gained. Sorry for the poor description about power mirrors rather than power-fold and no it is not some weird spec. without power mirrors.
