Sluggish
Hello, I'm just wondering if anyone has a similar issue..
I find that if the majority of my driving for say a week and a half is mostly slow traffic driving my jaguar s type r starts to feel sluggish, the gear changes seem not as Sharpe etc and also as I have to use uneven lanes during some of my driving the suspension and steering don't seem quite the same..

I'll have too look up what the fuel trims should be if everything is OK.
It just feels like maybe the computer adapts to the most recent spell of driving,
I disconnect the battery for another job, followed all procedures etc to the book and the car was great, at its best, most of my driving for the first 400 miles after the disconnect was great progressive driving with occasional non sports mode kick down.
But as I say over the last say 100 miles, it's been mostly traffic slow driving and bumpy lanes.. It just feels like the car has lost something..
So as far as your concerned it won't be a learnt behaviour?

I believe these cars will modify its fuel trim and shift points etc. depending on how you drive. For instance if you drive like an old man eventually it will start giving you old man car driving characteristics but if you drive it like Jonny racer, Youll get a more aggressive driving profile. so it could be that you have been driving like the old man in the city and that’s what your car has adapted to. By disconnecting the battery you reset all those adaptations and that’s why it feels great right after you do that but as you continue to drive through the city it changes to the old man profile

Looking at the codes in your thread (please don't keep starting new ones!) https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...-codes-249701/
I'd worry most about P1410 - follow workshop manual.
Then when fixed see what happens - and be sure to check fuel trims (after checking all OBD monitors are set OK).

I totally agree it won't fix the problem but I've removed the flap for now, car feels alot less bogged down, it seems the connector for the solenoid is damaged, so I'll get a new one on there ASAP and hopefully that cures that problem.
