No clarification required. I was being facetious.
what I meant was you are going Down the wrong path.
If you are trying to fix this surge .As I said the surge is not caused by the valve body or the seals.
It is caused by software or the torque converter in Jaguars case .
if you have the transmission surge you can try updating the software and resetting adaptions to overcome the surge via software.
But you most probably will still be left with a surge If you don’t replace the torque converter As in many other jag owners case .
I have seen the video You refer to. I believe that work was carried out for completely different symptoms.
and yes it’s the same transmission. But the software is completely different.
if you choose to go down this path ,
This will require you to have access to a Jaguar IDS Program and a VCM or mongoose -
to update the software and reset the transmission adaptions .
