didn't really want to black out the wheels because I never really liked the look but I had to make the car look like its mine. I'm a young guy and am getting tired of hearing "does your daddy know your driving his car" and so on. I think i kinda like the black though....kinda.

Yes all good suggestions. Tinted reflectors, painted calipers, crossed drilled rotors, or Mina grills all look good and set you apart. I may be a little biased though. I never get any Dad know you are driving his car comments when I'm driving around. I get the "I totally didnt expect you to get out of that car" looks. Its really funny when I go grocery shopping on laundry day since I look like a bum cause I wear my laundry day clothes. Looks increase on that day.

Great looking STR! I know what you mean with the "how do you like your Dad's car" comments. I'm 23 and have one of the nicer cars at work and my boss said something to that extent when i first bought it and clients also think its my bosses car when i take them to lunch. I've been thinking of personalizing mine too but not sure what to do. just a tip, mine had slotted and drilled rotors when i bought mine and my local Jaguar deal recommended going back to the stock rotors since for some reason the jag brake system isn't a fan of the slotted rotors. They tend to blue easily.

Personalised licence plate that makes it obviously yours? Pictures of you & your car all over the office?

Good job....the STR looks great. Curious, what did it cost to get the wheels powder coated?

Must be me.... I liked it "before". Simplicity, transparency and looking like the designers intended. Big bore mufflers/exhausts do nothing for me, but then I am over 40, so an old fart who wouldn't waste money on that. Each to their own. Not a dig, but when I saw the first pic, I thought wow, that really looks nice, when I saw the last I though, oh well, another riced Jag. I like the stealth look for an STR and let the car speak for itself, not advertise that fact and attract the unwanted attention of other boy racers! Sorry, I'll put my flame suit on now!

I've always liked this color! But, the black wheels are just okay IMO. Maybe they are just a bit too flat in color....

LOL! 2X to jagv8. That's a cool plate. eds123 got it...use black semi-gloss on the wheels. The red is a nice color on that "R" too.

Actually, I was thinking the same thing. I'm well over 40 also....maybe a generation thing. Guys do the blacked out treatment on Vettes too and it leaves me cold. Black wheels just disappear in the wheelwell. But to each their own.

Give the blacked-out wheels some time...who knows? U may eventually think there cool? Semi-gloss em?

Didn't cost me anything. My buddy powdercoats and I have a tire machine and balancer. I think he charges $80 a wheel though.

The exhaust is great! Slightly louder then stock at idle and normal driving, silent cruising the highway, but surprises everyone under hard acceleration. Its a little understated for me so I have hi-flow cats and x-pipe waiting to be installed.

Before I had "that's a pretty car!" or "nice". Now I get "that thing looks mean". I am going to gloss them next. I really want a set of barcellona 19s. These wheels are beat up so I'm experimenting with them.
