Sounds like i have the coolant leak under the supercharger?

2003 jaguar s type r, 140,000 miles on it bought it with 126,000 last yr figured id give this car a shot see if itll go to 200k and take on all the repairs with this mileage haha
anyways.....after doing much research on here im afraid its my time for a major one, have a leak coming from rear of the engine and i cant trace it have had it lifted on a rack they cant find it pressure tested and all...from what it seems its either that valley pipe under the supercharger or heater control valve i want all this inspected no matter the costs i dont want this car leaking antifreeze ever again lol this is the 3rd leak in short period of time i heard the one under the supercharger is the most pain so i wanna knock this out the reason we are believing its gotta be the valley pipe because we cannot find out where the leak is coming from for ****
when the supercharger is removed what all should be checked n replaced?
valley hose/gaskets
knock sensors
egr valve [cleaned or does it need replaced]
fuel injectors cleaned or replaced?
i just wanna know what ALL should be checked n worth doing while a supercharger is off i need to know everything, THANKS!!!

Coolant leaks are a pain. It can be a VERY small ooze from an o-ring or a crack in a pipe, etc. Before you tear into the car, try to clean off all the coolant you see and let it sit HOT. Use an ultra bright light and keep wiping down the drip. You'll see it and then know what to do. You can also feel along hoses and fittings with paper napkins/towels when it is cold and they will absorb the coolant. Kind of a clue. Good luck.

With this kind of mileage its wise to just start fixing things you know are major and are common if you have the extra money waitin until the last minute will hurt ya...before i bought this car i never heard of this under supercharger leak as a common problem didnt do enough research i guess if this is the issue...ive learned with jaguar have money put up lol even if its running fantastic just replace something when you feel like it thats known to go wrong you gotta be ahead with these cars hahah

Two places can produce the coolant loos at the back of the engine
The first one is the valley hose. I wont go into that as it well documented here in the forum
The second one is the thermostat bypass hose. This is the short L shaped hose on eth back of the thermostat housing that links up to the block.
Recently I had this hose start leaking and saw the telltale signs of coolant at the back of the block producing the same results as the valley hose issue.
Its impossible to get the hose on without removing the thermostat housing (I tried in vain). If you first position the hose on the bloc then reinstall the housing it's not that hard.
It worth a check and replacement as This is one of the hose that don't get replaced due to the PITA factor

I dealt with this same problem last year, and replaced 10 of the 18 total hoses that comprise the cooling system. The rest were assured by my dealer of being low failure probability (we shall see). Anyways, while that work was being performed, I too had gaskets replaced along with the knock sensors. Preventive maintenance is definitely the way to go with these cars.

You guys are right about replacing all those hoses.
I replaced all 18 hoses on my '05 STR 18 months ago, and the peace of mind since then has been wonderful. With a temp gauge that can go from Normal to red zone in just a few seconds, with Coolant Low and major damage to follow in a very short time, it's an investment I never regretted.

what do you have to do to get to the thermostat bypass....this isnt the same as heater core is it....where u have to take the dash off....how difficult is this job? O and i just read ur link that was extremly helpful OMG every part # for the damn hoses.....i think this is definetly something every jag owner should do!!!

To get the bypass hose off you need to remove the water rail.
First take off all the hoses other than the bypass
Remove the top clamp from the bypass
Remove the 4 bolts from the water rail and take off the rail
You can now get to the lower clam on the bypass hose
Install is the reverse
Spent quite some time trying to do it with the rail on, dont bother

Just the hose is only one part you likely need and looks to be AJ89746
