Looks great bro! How does she handle, seen any difference? Your STR looks more mean green now like the HULK!

Looks great but you may want to be careful.

I had a similar setup, not with spacers with with wheel offset on my 500sl. Well long story short I turned into my driveway a bit aggressively with the wheel cut and the tire hit the driveway apron and put the tire into the top of the fender, and mangled the fender a bit. I rolled it back as best I could with a baseball bat, but it still cracked the paint a bit.

Just make sure everything clears.

Take care,

George

So basically this would suck on a car that is lowered with H&R springs?

that is one reason i didnt go with 25mm spacers. next step is to get a hold of a fender roller.

Jag 79:

I wouldn't space out a lowered car, especially without rolling the fenders.

Michael:

I did this on my e36 M3. Be really careful not to crack the paint. Slow and steady wins the race on that one, AND use a LOT of heat. The heat gun is your friend. The more gentle passes you make, the less chance of hurting the paint you will have.

I'd be interested to see what an S-Type with the fenders rolled looks like.

Take care,

George

I'm assuming this is the tool that does the rolling of the fenders...

George
LOlz....George, I looked under the fender more closely of my STR and apparently the previous owner rolled the front fenders. There seems to be areas where it looks like something has been done all around on both sides. Hmmm....maybe I can push out my lowered STR with 20's with a 20mm spacer after all

I'm assuming this is the tool used for rolling out the fenders....

Not a single issue. Drove 2300+ miles to Texas and back. Drove 144mph in Texas, and nothing. When I put the spacers on, I did use Red Loctite on the nuts that hold the spacer to the hub.

I thought about these but with the bolt pattern changed (5x108 to 5x114) for more wheel choices. Anyone have any experience with those?

I would love to do this with mine. I am thinking it may be offset to much for my lower suspention though.

I'm running H&R springs with no issues.

They were about $80 and I will have to find the place I bought them from.

No they are lugcentric. I was really worried that I would have vibrations, but I didn't. I had someone step on the brake, while I tightened it down (star pattern). Haven't had any issues.

Looking real good Michael....

I added 20mm wheel spacers to my A6 recently when I went from 17's to 19" alloys, although I opted for "HUBCENTRIC" as I've heard too many horror stories about non hubcentric styles where the load is all on the bolts which can cause wheel wobble.

Anyhow, as I said, looking good and glad you're pleased with them

I was worried about that as well. That is why I took the precautions I did with them. I made sure they were on straight and tight. I figured the red loctite would help a lot as well.

That is only with rolled fenders correct? If I can run them without rolling the fenders I am there! If I have to roll the fenders I might hold off for a while.

I am going to try them. As I said before my STR is running H&R lowering springs, and the fenders are not rolled (these are just for the front to even out the reveal) I went with
20mm 5x108-5x108 63.3mm Hubcentric male-female so there will not be any issues, I know that the wheels are lug centric, but for the sake of a few bucks I went Hubcentric.
My BMW M6 is hubcentric. Shipped to the house $130. Paul

Nope, no rolled fenders here. I'm also running the stock STR widths (245).
