Default Spark plug seals and gasket.

Hi!,
I have a 2003 STR with about 68K kilometers (40+K miles)
My car has been maintained and serviced by the Dubai (UAE) dealership throughout. Dubai is really hot averaging 40 C 105 F most of the year.
I have been advised to replace the spark plug seals and gasket as they found a slight oil leak in the plugs.
I have already ordered the parts as they were not available.
What I would like to know is weather this is common issue for an STR with only 40000 miles or is there something wrong with my particular engine.
Thank you for you help.

Is the age of the engine not dependent on the miles rather than the year it was made ?

There's a special service schedule for places like there (on jag's TOPIx). The extra heat is tough on cars. At the cost of coils those gaskets etc are cheap....

Thank you JagV8, I shall check that out.
I was just making sure I did not end up with a bad potato.
I have no problem maintaining her, that is why she is looked after by the Jag guys as I am not good at working on cars.
Your help is appreciated.
Cheers.

You're welcome!

Oil change every 6 months / 5K miles, V8 spark plugs every 50K miles, etc. Jag call it an Arduous market it seems.

I don't get the 50K for plugs. If it's dubious petrol then injectors and other things may suffer too.
