Speaker Upgrade

Hello everyone, as the title says I'm looking to upgrade my 2005 S-Type's door speakers, I have the premium alpine without navi. I have a aftermarket subwoofer installed, but I would like to upgrade the door speakers as they aren't the best sounding nor do they produce a clean punch.
I'm wondering if replacing speakers is as simple as plug and play ? Just remove old speaker and replace with new, or am I going to have to strip the car in and out just to replace a simple speaker
?
If as simple as plug n play what size speakers are needed ? I don't need the rear factory subs as I have an aftermarket 12" subwoofer. Any recommendation on speakers ?
Thanks

Go on ebay and thay have a replacement pioneer kit and also kenwood kit
Apparently these are the best replacement bang for buk !
The speakers are 5&1/4" and 6x8" !
Direct swap , easy as ! There is a realy expensive option too
(JL audio c5 serise) my Guess is these a little better but at a heak
Of a cost differance!

![Amazon.com : 4) New Rockford Fosgate P1683 6x8" 260 Watt 3 Way Car Coaxial Speakers Audio : Component Vehicle Speaker Systems : Car Electronics](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/misc/amazon_icon.gif)
I like this company's speakers a lot more than anything in their price range. For example, these are higher rated RMS wattage. They tend to make higher quality sounding speakers, so it's not just high power and average fidelity.

Crutchfield: Car Stereo, Speakers, Home Theater, Pro Audio, 4k TV also carries several 6x8 speakers, check for specials. Odd size, but used by Ford for years. I have a F-150 that I replaced the stock 6x8s with Fosgates, keeping original external amp. 100% better!!!!
