so,
I have 47K miles on my 03 STR. My supercharger tension pulley was squealing. I brought it to the dealer and they said there was an update on the pulley. This meaning I had to use the new pulley, also meaning this new pulley uses different grooves than old one, meaning all pulleys and belts had to be changed. So 4 pulleys and belts and labor cost me over $970 cash out of pocket for 1 stinkin pulley.
Just thinking out loud of how expensive these cars can be to keep running. Every time I look the smallest thing is 500 or 1000 or 2750 to fix.
Also, I am starting to see why 2003 MUSTANG COBRA'S with more miiles are going for same price as our cars if not more????
Its the threat of upkeep and Jaguar dealer prices...
This isnt an angry post, just a HOLY $hit, I keep dropping large chunks of money at it.

I empathize with your frustration. I could have bought a Sunday Driver for the amount of money I've spent maintaining and repairing my 03 STR...and it only has 54K on it.
On the plus side, I gave a mean spanking to a punk *** in a WRX this morning on my way to work. He didn't like it very much. I on the other hand had a big smile on my face.

I will find the receipt in the car this eve and post the parts, belts, pulleys and liquid and prices.
If I had some time, I would have gotten a supercharger pulley, this just wasnt planned and it sounded so bad, I thought that one of the pulleys would freeze up and shred the belt and done some real dammage.
Now all I have to fix is the ABS module. It is failing and i get the dash lights for abs and DSC. I will try to keep that under a grand too.
So far in 4 months and 4K miles I have
$900 in Tires,
$130 in diagnostic fee for the ABS Failure( not fixed yet)
$970 for Pulley
Need the Transmission reflashed
And hoping the brakes last a while longer.
Still, with that stuff and the purchase price added up,
its still alot of car for the money. I am still under 18K total Money out of pocket for this car.
