I put on Akebono Euro ceramics and EBC Sport rotors 10,000 miles ago on all four corners..Not even a hint of a squeek or squeal ..and virtually dust free.

The dealer will tell you that it's normal too but I think it is BS . Do they squeal or metal vibration sound? They did have problems with the lower suspension arms on some S Types that caused a bad vibration. If it's just a loud squeal I would look into some pads that are designed for low noise and low dust. Metallic pads usually do squeal and I've never had ceramic. I currently have Kevlar pads on my R and they may squeal just slightly(Very rarely) when first applied but it goes right away And they are virtually dust free.

New rotors on the front, new akebono ceramic pads... no squeak.

New akebono ceramic pads on the rear, stock rotors, not turned...squeak.

Turned the rear rotors...quiet.

I'd turn the front rotors uptown if I were you.

Your right the dealer did tell me that once. I took it in before I had the pads changed and they said they could clean up the rotors a bit but that was normal. I thought that was BS too. Squeeky brakes should not be the norm for any car- especially a Jaguar!

I had this problem also- I just changed my rotors and pads... still making noise!!! It's gone down significantly though so I'll deal with it for now untill I get a new set of pads (somehow one of my front left pads got damaged)
