SRS broken wire. Need repair advice.
Greetings! My '02 S-Type 3L has an airbag light on, (code reads 36). Upon investigating conditions under the drivers seat I noticed a broken wire, specifically the black with green stripe the goes into the yellow wiring harness. You can see it in the photo as the left of the two that go into the harness. I'm betting that this is the cause for the airbag light and am looking for any advice/insight as to how to repair it or if anything needs to be replaced. I'm not too familiar with wiring/electrical so any knowledge would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
Option 1 - you can go into the connector with a pick and release the tang holding the black wire metal end connector into the plug receptacle and make the repairs and reconnect.
You may need to solder the wire to the connector if you don't have enough wire to splice in on the connector side.
Or Option 2 - search EBay or wrecking yards for a connector and splice it in.
The first option is the cheapest and easiest fix.
Once the black wire is connected your 36 air bag code will be a code of the past.
Good Luck!
