hi everyone im new to the forum. i own a 2006 s type 3.0 sport. with 19 inch oem barcelona alloy wheels 8 inch wheels with pirelli p zero 245-35-19 all around. recently i purchased 2 rear wheels from a str with 9.5 rear with 275-30-19 to give the car a more aggressive look, but now the car rides like crap. the fronts r ok but the rear thumps everytime i go over the slightest bump like i have no rear shocks,and there is a whining noise from the rear i dont know if its from the tires or the differrential. i switched back the 2 rear wheels and it drove fine with just a slight thump going over bumps could this be caused by the wide rear tires or is it a rear differrential problem also when driving with the 9.5 wheels the car has terreble handling on a straight road the car feels like its all over the place, is anyone running a staggered setup on a non str without any promlems. or is the reg s type just not meant for a stagger fitment . will post pics of my ride soon.

 

Just wondering if the rears are directional tires and could possibly be on in the wrong direction. My car drives very strange in reverse due to the directional tires.
Just a thought.

 

I recently switched to STR Zeus wheels and have had NO ISSUES. They are on a 03 S-type 4.2L.

car looks nice. yeah im gonna have my drive train checked out has anyone ever had to change drivetrain bushings or rear frame bushings
