Default Headers

Super_jag, what were the reason(s) shops didn't want to install headers or charge so much? Send me info. on headers, etc. Perhaps I'll take them off ($$$) your hands?
Been there too my man. My ex wasn't as brutal though. We should form a corp. (as a means to avoid legal recourses from X's and protect our assets) and sell our wisdom as high school and college courses. Friggin legal profession will hate us but the world would be a better place...?

there reason was the lack of work on jags, they all conclueded that engine removal was a must. I would say 700, I dont even remember how much I paid for them

F!ck. My ex got the house, the townhouse, the cars and most of the money. More than $2,000,000. Plus, I pay her a ridiculous amount every month. Still, I got my son and I got rid of her. Never make that mistake again though....can you say pre-nup?

LOL. Hard to believe how many of us got trampled by our exs. She took my 1961 Jag and said that since we were dating when I bought it, it was part of the marital assets (she wanted to punish me for leaving her and give it to her new guy). I spent $25,000 on lawyer fees so that I got to keep it.

She's getting married again (poor sob) so my monthly payments are about to be cut in half! Yay!

Dude, let me see pics of the headers. Maybe I will take them. Are they coated?

I'm interested but gathering more info on installation and performing other mods. Go for it if your into it. most of the STR's here are interested in a header install, etc. and/or accruing funds and amidst other mods.

Man, those are some NICE headers. Thanks for the pics Super_jag. Stainless Works should have posted pics of these a long time ago. Since you're positive you want to sell these, I'll get the word out about these being up for sale on another forum I'm a member of. I'm sorry to hear that you have to give up on this idea for now, but just do what ya gotta do.

If I didn't have to pay for the light replacement, I would have taken them off of your hands for sure.

I think at best you jack up the engine after unbolting the 2 motor mounts at the bottom. And past that unbolt the front subframes 4 bolts to lower it down some and have the engine supported from above. This should give more than enough room to slide these in. I think a $1000 is alittle high, but if you talking about modding the egr pipe, and welding up to factory exhaust, and r n r labor not unreasonable. Especially going into uncharted territory and the fact that even if the non salted south, exhaust studs, bolts tend to seize and snap off requiring more work

super_jag,

I guess new members can't send PM's or maybe I dont know how to on this forum. I have a 04 LS and I'm very interested in these. I was going to get the ones from stainless stell works later on for 700-800, however much they are then, but since you have them, i'll try with you first. This thread was posted on a lincoln forum. If you can, PM me, if you can't thne just reply here. How much were you looking to get from these? Hopefully we can come to a deal that works for both of us.
