The X-Brace in the picture is a Thunderbird piece only. When Ford cut the roof off the DEW platform to make a convertible T-Bird the X-brace was added. There is a pretty big discussion on the LS board about adding this to the LS to increase the stiffness of the chassis. No one has done it yet that I know. It's expensive new and the Thunderbird is so rare they are not found in the junk yards. Here is a better diagram of where the X-brace attaches. It appears to go under the passenger compartment and ties the front and rear sections of the unibody together.

That became a favorite add on for the BMW guys, adding factory X braces from the convertibles (or in this case the BMW parts dept) to regular cars. Supposedly really tightened them up too.
It would be interesting to see if someone could replicate that, and if the mounting points are on our cars.

LOL. I am looking for a guinea pig!
I am a big fan of header replacement for various reasons:
Better sound
Better breathing for the motor
Better scavenging with the right coating
Lower underhood temps with the right coating

I have a thread on LVC about these headers and I believe the pictures came from my uploading/searching. A lot of the people on our boards dont think the headers will do jack ****, its a big band wagon over there and no one is reaching out, theres a few of us but yea. Im considering getting a credit card just to buy these headers, I dont even own a debit card because I hate them so much but damn these things are tempting. Full stainless, 1 5/8in primaries merged into a 2 1/2in collector IIRC. Super Jag keep me updated please and thank you.

No, I meant guinea pig for the fitment of the headers. If they fit your car, you can believe that I will be on my way to buy a set immediately.

Here is the email I sent
Hi my name is Gabriel Gonzalez. I have seen you website stating that you have headers for a Lincoln LS/ Ford Thunderbird. I understand that you have been contacted before about the opportunity to have them fitted to a Jaguar S-Type V8. there has been talk from many that these will indeed fit, but as far as I know, no one has taken the plunge. I am willing to have these fitted by a Jaguar Tech here in Kansas City or a V&P Corvette performance, who do custom header and exhaust, http://www.vettesandperformance.com/, to see if the actually fit. I am sure that there will be a demand for these from the Jaguar community if they actually fit. I guess my question is if you are willing to work with me, to get this done. I only ask that if the fitment is not achieved I can return the product, as long as it has not been damaged. Two, if there is a possibility that these can be provided at a reduced price. I have seen for example the T0304HDR on your website for 863.49 and on http://www.byunspeed.com/product_inf...c2b0bdea469b63 they are 733.57 with free shipping. Please let me know if this is something you would like to persue. I will provided photographs, video and documentation. If need be I can have the car dynoed before install and after to show the hp difference made by your product. I have included a picture of my vehicle in case they do fit they may be used by your company and to show that I have modified my vehicle extensively and that I am not wasting your time. I hope that we can work something out as I can see that you product is superior to others. Thank you for your consideration and I hope to be a future customer.
