STR with 75-shot Nitrous
This is bigtel's car, he came along to Santa Pod yesterday, with a 75-shot of Nitrous
Bottle in the boot
Two solenoids for N2O and fuel
Fuel line to solenoid, taken from the fuel rail
Pair of spray nozzles mounted in the intake pipe, just before the throttle body, one for fuel, one for nitrous
Different angle on the solenoids
Master switch in the center console
Trigger switch under the accellerator pedal
Very simple, turn it on, and put your foot down.
He arrived late so only got a couple of runs in.
1st without NOS, 14.1871 @ 101.96mph
2nd with NOS, on from launch, 12.9976 @ 109.51mph
Car is a high-miler, with 3lb pulley, 200 cell cats, & exhaust.
We were very impressed!

110MPH traps. This car should easily run low 12's. With a good 60ft. I really want to learn more info about this setup. This car uses a wot switch, Therefore there's no window switch which is not the way i'd go if it were me with our t/c system. I'd use a dry by wire window switch, which would turn off the spray if the t/c so happened to turn on.There was a guy who posted high 11 sec 1/4 miles times with a 75shot. I was also under the impression that spraying before the supercharger kills the coating on the supercharger rotors. Definitely nice to see the setup. I have a nitrous kit just waiting to get put on.

- "our t/c system"? This car is supercharged (s/c), not turbo charged (t/c)
- "I'd use a dry by wire window switch"?Do you mean drive-by-wire?
- "which would turn off the spray if the t/c so happened to turn onThis statement does not make sense.?.?.? If you are racing, the s/c is going to be adding boost. Are you saying you want nitrous only below full throttle?
As a point of reference, I have a good number of runs at slightly greater than 109mph on cool days at the dragstrip/racetrack without using nitrous.

The engineneeds to lower its torque for the gearbox to safely change the gears. This is done by torque reduction requests from the TCM to the ECU, which in turn reduces the throttle opening to oblige. So one way (pretty good) to protect yourgearbox from the extra power of the NOS at these points.

I'm having trouble understanding your post amgeater? What do you mean by:

I think he's talking about a drive by wire window switch maybe using the TPS sensor AND an rpm window switch.
Take care,
George

That kit is a WON kit. I highly recommend them! Ramping the nitrous shot has many benefits for a street car.

Back 15yrs ago I was a part time engineer for the US sister company. When Trevor was over here he stopped by my home and we discussed a few things.
I still have my WON / Racetested parts too. Not for use on a Jag though..

Trevor is a good bloke.
I don't know who installed the kit on the car but I'm pretty sure it never worked correctly. I bought the car 5 years ago & it clearly wasn't working properly plus a comment Terry said about when he was running it at the strip. Anyway, I've spent a long time fixing this & tweaking that & now everything works as it should, last year I thought let's try the NOS again. A small gain & not what I expected. Ran it on my usual heartbreaker dyno & although it projected 513 hp the AFR dropped like a stone, which told me the NO wasn't reaching the engine, just extra fuel. Testing the system forwards showed, upon reaching the solenoids, that the NO one wasn't firing, just the fuel one. After so much work with the car, this p1ssed me off somewhat & January this year I removed the NOS - well most of it. It'll be easy to reinstall but it's neutralised - & I was only planning on using it now & again. TBH even on a dry day, I've got the TC flashing up to 50mph on not too much throttle on good tyres. Will I refit it later, probably . . . I've got a full bottle lol.

I helped design / engineer kits for a few kits over here. I know a lot and learned a lot from Trevor and Denny. If you need help sorting it out let me know. (I've not worked on the REVO stuff though)
If your spraying upstream of the IC I'd suggest adding a little acetone to the fuel. I found better cyl to cyl distribution that way in my gen 2 Lightning.
