thanks brutal, something I will consider, for now though, I am going to bolt in all the new components/bushings, go for an alignment, and see how the steering feels.
welsh enterprises has 'rebuilt' curved arms for $310 each, and brand new ones for $410.
crossing my fingers all these new components solve some of my steering issues...
I pressed the lower damper mount bushing in and out today, will be posting some pictures up of that,

well... updates,
got the front end back together today, and hit up alignment shop right after to get everything back into spec,
unfortunately, my steering wheel shimmy under light-medium braking is still there! ugh!!! whole point of swapping all these parts was to address this issue!
So far, new parts:
lower ball joints, both sides,
wheel bearings, both sides,
new rotors and pads,
new wheels and tires, road force balanced,
one hydro bushing and one lower damper mount bushing due to obvious wear/play
looks like im going to have to keep throwing parts at it, no obvious signs of play anywhere at this point,
couple issues sticking out in my mind still though,
upper ball joints, don't seem to have any play in them, but when i had them disconnected, swiveling the bare ball-joint with my hands, they were 'light', not exactly stiff to move around like my brand new lower ball joints, but there wasn't really any play of the ball in the socket either...
the curved control arm i did the big hydro bushing in, the smaller bushing, which i would describe as 'spherical', seems to move around a lot more freely than the passenger side one did in comparison, which was rock hard and would barely budge in its spherical motion,
the big hydro bushing in the other curved control arm, which appears to be 'rock solid', also 'binds' on the bushing. i had everything apart, and it wouldn't pivot freely on the eccentric bolt, rather, seemed like the bushing itself was twisting...
i still have this 'click' or light 'clunk' noise when go from drive to reverse, like when backing into a parking spot. sounds like what i would normally diagnose as bad lower ball joint... but i just did those, and the noise still there, although doesn't happen ALL the time... not sure where this could be coming from... maybe upper ball joints? maybe another blown bushing i haven't been able to recognize...
i want to keep throwing parts at it, but 2x upper control arms, and 2x curved arms, and inner/outer tie rods, i'm going to end up spending a fortune at this rate, and i hate throwing parts blindly at a problem, that's not how i work.
probably going to give up on the STR for this year; my track toy needs attention and jag's seen enough work and mods for this year i think...

Had this issue when i bought the car. New bridgestone's road force balanced on factory zues 18's, still had the problem.
Bought brand new forgestar 19" wheels this year, road force balanced with brand new hankook v12's,
Made no difference... Think I can rule out the wheels/tires for sure now.
The steering wheel shimmy is worst under light-medium braking at higher speeds.
I also feel a bit of a vibration in the wheel cruising at speed; comes in around 45mph, annoying around 55mph, and smooth again over 70mph...
