No issues to date been on for about 6 months.....
You will have to relocate and secure the "booster flap" (whatever u call the thing that opens the flap to the air box)though....I didnt disconnect it only thinkin the computer would see that and throw it in limp mode or something....
I will be making a tubed elbow to go into the filter come spring time and get rid of all the stock plastic intake.....

Great cone filters if you do a dyno with the hood open, when they get some 'cold' air.
You lose power with the hood down, as you suck in hotter air, it is as simple as that. The whole system will get hotter, including the SC and intercooler coolant circuit. The IAT2 sensor will pick this up and reduces the the power by changing the ignition timing.
You do not have to take my word for it, but if you want to know (instead of guessing) you would need to measure the intake temperature/ignition timing for a while in different conditions.
Another negative is MAF holder tube; a slight difference compared to the original tube will give a different reading. To know if you are still ok, you need to read your ltft/stft in different conditions and of course measure your atf.
So bottom line, cone filter will help (no doubt), but only if you get air from outside the engine bay.
