str no steering random hose
hello,
the other day i went to start my car, no power steering. there is a random hose under the car, and i believed it leaked from there, but dont have a clue in the world where the hose came from or where it goes, its just dangling on the ground, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Ok, does your vehicle have the entire under vehicle belly/splash pan? I take it it doesn't. There is a power steering hose that is a "dead end" hose that has 1 clip that holds it to the backside of the cross member. The clip popped off the cross member and the hose you are questioning dragged on the pavement to the point the "dead end" was ground off, hense loosing all your power steering fluid. See picture, its the best I have.
Now you can try to "cap" the ground off portion of hose, fill power steering reservoir and perform bleed procedure and cross your fingers. Don't forget to at least ziptie the hose back to the cross member.
Good luck and let us know how you make out. BTW you might want to find a belly/splash pan, as there are other hoses and such that are very low to the ground as well!
