If the others ahead of me are no longer interested, I'll throw my hat in the ring. As long as they're in-round.

Couldn't figure out how to PM, so I just replied, hope you don't mind.

Sorry, one general question for the group. I see these came from a 2003 STR...these should work with a 2005 STR, correct?

I don't know of a reason why they wouldn't...but on an Ebay listing (also a 2003 STR) they say the wheels will work with a 2003 or 2004, but don't mention other years. Did the specs change between 04 and 05...?

Similar question and problem. I have an '04 STR, and destroyed my left front rim. I was looking at these as a replacement, but they say '05 +.

^^ no, you'll be good. They'll fit. Sorry i added to the disinformation, now I know the difference between a Zeus and the Vulcan. I like both, equally.

This thread has gotten confusing.

Super_jag has 18" Zeus rims for sale.

05 just wants four round rims...chrome or brushed aluminum

NV wants his Vulcans, and nothing else?

Same bolt size, but you need to confirm the offset. I would be pretty confident they would work. These 20s interchange on the XJ and XK, I don't see why they wouldn't on the S-type.

Was there any 20's EVER from the factory on an s-type R?

Thank you, thats what I thought, but I was told they would stick out past the fender well, and that staggered will not work on my '04. I obviously found this odd as my OEM's are staggered, unfortunately just bent. Thats what I get for taking it out for 2 days in the winter.

Only difference I see is that the rims you linked to have a 8.5 inch width on the front, the original S-type R has only 8 inch rims, but the very same 9.5 inch on the rears as XJs and XKs. That may be what he was referring to. Just don't get any wider tires than your original ones, and you should be ok.

Thanks again. It was a sanity check. They are claiming I would need to go 8.5 on all four which I do not and will not do. Does anyone know a US distributor of Arden products, as I really like their Wheels as well.

Sweet rims. I saw those too, but I don't wanna go bigger than 18". I would just be worried about "rubbing" when going to 20's, particularly with 4-5 adults in the car...

I'm sure someone here has gone to 20" already and can confirm / deny this for you.

Speaking for myself, you pretty much nailed it. Except I'd add that I wouldn't go bigger than 18". I have Vulcans, but I'd be fine switching to Zeus. I just miss having 4 round wheels. And if they aren't chromed, no biggie...I can always send them out to get that done later, if I really felt they need it.

Has anyone replaced STR oem wheels from an 03, 04 with an 05 on up? I'd like to confirm it has been done without any fitment issues. We're all guessing they will work fine, but actual confirmation would be cool.

BTM,

Don't know if you saw these, but the same rims (apparently) from same seller are going for half the price:

Maybe this set doesn't come with the tires...?

Yeah, Same company, just no tires. Im like you though not convinced I wast to go bigger just yet. Whole reason Im looking is a piece of road was missing and destroyed the tire and banged the Rim really good. I have it looking to get repaired, but the amount of damage I am doubtful that it is fixable.

The rim sizes are exactly the same. The car is exactly the same. No problems, they will fit fine.

Just wanted to go back to the beginning for a minute and recommend you check with a shop that specializes in rim repair. Many large chains will turn away repairs since they want you to buy new rims and corp does not want the liability. If you look at the LA Wheels website you can get an idea of what is repairable. If you can drive on your rims with just a little vibration I'd be very surprised if they were not fixable.

Bumping this thread. I am having the same issue. I have one bent front wheel and the others are pretty worn. I'd like to hear from some of the other posters as far as outcome from their wheel search.

I'm okay with aftermarket but also want to keep the staggered set up and not spend a fortune.

Anybody else try dealing with this company?
