My car has been throwing the p1647 code. All data said to check the connections from the PCM and the 02 sensor itself, so I removed the cowl and cabin air box, etc to get to it. The car ran fine driving around with out it. It rained last night, and I started it this morning. It now reads ENGINE SYSTEMS FAIL, DSC INOPP, PARK BRAKE FAULT, the ABS LIGHT is on, and the SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT is on. I am thinking that something may have gotten wet from water running into the engine bay without the cowl? ANY IDEAS are appreciated.

Throttle body. Water is leaking onto the connection for the throttle body and causing a kind of "short" in the electrical system. You need to unplug the connector for the throttle body and dry it then electrical tape it or something to keep the water out and you'll be okay. Saying it happened after it rained was the best clue you could have given. Eric

Yep, your throttle body got wet, and it doesn't take but a few drops of moisture to send it haywire....
Never, ever, leave these cars sitting out in even just a mist of rain without that cowl securely in place....
I won't even use a squirt bottle in our engine bay. One experience with moisture in the throttle body causing a "limp home mode" failure back in mid-May (with the car still under the factory warranty) with my wife solo behind the wheel caused me to determine that our engine bay will never even see a wet rag. When it's time for engine bay clean-up, it's strictly old towels with a little bit of silicone spray on them and plenty of elbow grease. No fun at all, but it sure beats another throttle body issue now that our factory warranty has run it's course....
