I have the new Pilot Super Sports and really recommend them. The car rides ultra smooth with them..

j.k i actually am a big fan of discount tires on most cars but i prefer kumho the most and sumitomo isnt bad either. expensive tires can also have poor traits to them as well though.

i agree with Z06 (love all 3 cars you have minus the black, ive had lots of c6 corvettes ) if you dont mind spending the money Michelin Pilot line is the best tire out there period.

I'm not in the market for any but I know a lot of people are selling their STRs; in general (no pun intended) cheap new tires > great worn tires from a selling stand-point...

Michelin Pilot line
I too have mainly used Michelin Pilots on both my jag and 300m. They are my preferred brand. Though due to a recent pothole incident I got some pirellis for cheap while the car goes sits in storage for the next several months.

I'd want to look up some reviews on those walmart tires first.

Be careful with this one buddy. I do not believe the tire ratings at the bargain basement. If you make a mistake here, it could be your last one. Furthermore, China is producing z rated tires for many manufacturers. That does not inspire much confidence when you doing over 150 MPH. Please take the time to consider what value you place on your life. Then buy that cheap z rated tire anyway ))

Default General Tires in general....

Had a set of General tires on my S Type. Great performance, great durability, horrible noise as they wore. Mine were the Altimax All-season. Still directional.

For the one poster getting all nervous about China... General doesn't make tires in China.

Just checked "the rack" and the Exclaim looks to be made in Germany, Brazil, and the Czech Republic and I'm sure others.

The Altimax is made all over the place: Germany, US, Mexico, Portugal, France, Brazil... and more....

Tire Rack spec page for a tire brand/model is great since it tells you by size where the tire was made.

As a side note... Discount Tire Direct will price match. Tire Rack doesn't. Found this when getting tires for the 300. Went with a Bridgestone tire, found it cheap on a generic tire website. Gave the website to a sales rep over the phone at Discount Tire and they matched the price despite a significant difference. Then gave me the $50.00 rebate on top of it!

So for those that want the tire but don't want to buy from the great wally world, give Discount Tire Direct a call!
