stuck lugs

Has anyone had problems getting their lugs off? Mine seems to be stuck on there pretty good. I was only able to get 1 out of 20 to come off. I tried with a air gun, breaker bar w/ extension and long pipe with no luck. One lug just kept spinning. One of my socket got stuck on a lug and wont come off. Some of them seemed loose. Never though taking off tires would be this hard.

Andy, I have been thinking about this issue..... Dude you are basically in checkmate. If it were my vehicle I would spray the crap out the lug nuts with PB Blaster for a few days maybe a week or so (downside is your rims are going to look like "poop") then try the lug wrench again. As far as the spinning lug, a good set of drill bits, some beers, a comfy seat and start drilling off the nut (not my cup of tea but thats wheres the beers come in). Unless you are getting rid of the wheels a torch will speed the process. Sorry buddy!

jaquita, I would say if that the lug nuts can't be removed using say a 4 foot long breaker bar (+ extension), then your lug nuts were put on way too tight initially. That or someone did a hard run and got the brakes really warm and then noticed that the lug nuts were loose and then over tightened them at that point.
So, a trick that you may want to try is doing a few hard stops to get the brakes nice and warm and then try breaking a few of the lug nuts loose. Then you can tighten them back to around 75 ft-lbs with the lugnuts hot. You may need to do a few hard stops to get all of the lug nuts loose.
But, if the above doesn't work, then I would first take it back to the person that last touched the lug nuts. If you don't know who that is, then you most likely end up drilling out the studs to get the wheels off. You can try talking with a tire shop and see if they will break the lug nuts loose for you for a price. They have a few high torque tools that you probably don't have access to.

IN addition, because they apparently were over-torqued so much, I'd closely inspect the alloy wheels to make sure none of them are cracked. One of the local tire shops here way over-torqued the lug nuts on the alloy wheels on a customer's van. Shortly after that one of the customers wheels came apart while he was on the interstate - causing a bad accident. The tire shop got sued big time.

What I end up doing was taking it to the dealership and spent $164 for them to loosing then tighten to factory specs. I had to replace 2 lugs...can you believe a single Jaguar lug cost freaking $20 a pop????
Jaquita is toooo high maintenance I tell ya.
