i have the how to guide etc and im down to the point of taking off the SC.
First off.. I dont see where it is mandatory to take out the EGR?? is it attached somehow to the SC.. i dont see it to be so.
second.. where am stuck is that everyting is apart. I could see 4 bolts holding down the SC. 2 verticle in front, 2 horizontal in rear
I cant get separation of the SC from the plenum. In the pics you can see what seems to be a fairly thick gasket.. im wondering if its just fused.
Any thought as to if Ive missed something?
many Thanks

I just sent you the part number for the cam cover gasket kit. Others will chime in for the under blower coolant hose. There are four bolts holding down the blower unless someone comes by and trumps this. As you guessed, it may have bonded well to the gasket. Hang out till we confirm how many bolts. Why would the EGR be involved with the blower? Unless there's a bolt hidden by it?

in re-reading the guide it looks like the are are 4 total bolts in the rear that go through the TB plenum into the SC. It seems the lower 2 cant be got at unless the egr comes off. As far as a rear bolt on the SC.... that would probably explain things.. if there is the aforementioned rear bolt, then it would be impossible to get at unless the TB plenum is removed(called the air intake elbow in guide)
the EGR along with other stuff is connected to that plenum. So it looks like egr comes off, then that plenum comes off, then there is one final bolt thats uncovered which is what the SC slot reference is for.
what a pain
