stype limited edition navigation
Hello Jag lovers
So I just recently purchased a 2000 s-type limited edition with only 45,000 miles, turned out the engine was burnt so we got the engine completely restored, so far works BE-E-UTIUL! Love it so far, had no problems besides the fact that the previous owner fudged up the shock absorbers and had to be rebuilt as well and they had to remove the sensor so there is the "CAT system failure" on the display all the time. (I live in the border, Mexico has really good mechanics don't judge)
all that aside, it came with the old old 2000 navigation disc.
Now, I've read some on the threads about the new navigation CD's for sale, for download.. etc, but I cant quite understand the navigation update, do I need to take it to the dealership so they can update the hardware?, I don't wanna go there..
help!

Wow, a burnt-out engine after only 45000 miles. On the other hand, only 45000 miles after 13 years! Hmm...
If what you want is an up- to-date nav system, and you are not too fussy, have a look at post #6 here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...-option-90932/

although I do agree with you, the angle is pretty bad, having to turn your head it's pretty bad. Still I would like to have it running... for just in case.
I do have a tom tom gps but there's really no space in this car, only ONE cup holder. I personally feel funny having a navigation screen, and then also having my tomtom sucked to the front glass.
any other ideas on how to update the firmware, and where I could and/or which nav disc to download, this is for the US
Thank you peeps
