supercharger yes I

Hey there;
I am currently talking to a mechanic to see if they have the ability to slap a native STR supercharger onto my S-type (non-R). If the mechanic says it can be done, how much do you want for it. How much do you think all the parts would weigh? I am in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Depending on the timing, weight, feasibility ect, I might either fly down, drive down, or get you to ship it. Of course, I would first need to see if it can be done.
Then, once that is done, all I have to do is see if I can slap the CATS into it and some Brembos and my transformation is complete (well, and the wheels, and the tinting).
FYI, I recently obtained a 2006 S-type VDP with 30,000 km on it at a price I couldn't pass up. Since it was such a great deal, and no warranty to worry about, it frees me of anxiety to see if I can super-ize this car. For those that will ask it....yes I love the car, yes I love the car even if I can't mod it, I am doing it because I can.
Cheers
John

Thanks H20boy, that is the general concensus I am finding....people saying don't even bother. And, I am a reasonable person, so I am comming very close to fully embracing the truth about that. Still I will be talking to the mechanic (for multiple different things....suspension upgrades, supercharging, brakes, methods of paint touch up). To some extent, money really isn't a concern on this. I was looking for a sports orientated car. But, then I found an s-type and instantly fell in love with it....it has so much character. Now, I am stuck with two competing interests.
The only solution involves a jaguar for me now. Either:
1) mod the s-type I have
2) spring for an s-type-r
3) keep (=/- mod) s-type now and wait 2 years to get a XKR.
Probably option 3 without significant mods will be what happens. Without the adaptible suspension I am guessing any switch in suspension (my main concern) may leave me a little "flat".
But, we will see what happens.
Cheers

supercharger
Hi Cy-
THe answer is absolutley not~! An NA motor carries a high compression of 11-5 and with a forced air you will get an insane amount of ping and a ECU freaking out in trying to map out-- weird codes and popups like performance restriction will appear. So there is no solution out there for a high compression to Supercharger ratio-- You need the 9-9-5 compression in order to run it.

SuperJag i sent you a response- not sure if you got a chance to check it- Does anyone have a personal recommendation - as in used them personally for porting supercharger -- other than dyers-speed performance -or Stiegemeier? Pricing for S1 usually runs around 500 - just checking if anyone had a carrot
Thanks in advance
