Sway bar links replacement

Sway bar links replacement
When I bought my S just over a year ago it had the front end 'clunk'. I replaced the sway bar bushings and it went away. Now, the clunk is coming back. Not as pronounced, but it's definitely there. I can't hear it at speed or going over big bumps but at low speeds going over small/medium irregularities in parking lots I can hear it clearly. I'm hoping it's the sway bar links, which would be a very inexpensive fix. Now, is there any trick to replacing the links or is it as simple as it appears (unbolt, push out, bolt new ones in)?
p.s. What are the chances of the replaced sway bar bushings being worn after only 15 months and 35K km of driving?
